EZJET will launch its service to Toronto, Canada
EZJET will launch its service to Toronto Canada on Tuesday. When it does it will be the 2nd airline to have a service on the Georgetown – Toronto route at present. Caribbean airlines is the only other carrier flying to Toronto Canada from Guyana. There have been talks for other airlines to join the market but those talks are still ongoing.
Initially ezjet will offer just one flight per week between Guyana and Toronto, focusing more on its New York market which has been doing pretty well. The Ezjet flights will depart Guyana at 3 in the afternoon every Tuesday.
Meanwhile over the weekend the carrier was forced to bring in another aircraft after one of those ground handling vehicles accidently hit the parked plane on the tarmac at the Cheddi Jagan airport. Reports state that there was some damage to the aircraft and that resulted in some flight delays. Engineers were brought in and are currently looking at that problem. That aircraft has been taken out of service and will be flown out to the US for further checks once the engineers give it the all clear.
A new aircraft was brought in and remains in service and that new aircraft is expected to be in service for a while.
