Businessman Azruddin Mohamed was on Monday afternoon sworn in as a Member of Parliament during the convening of the 13th Sitting of the National Assembly.

Mohamed, who is currently fighting extradition alongside his father Nazar Mohamed, arrived at the Arthur Chung Conference Centre in Liliendaal accompanied by his attorney, Siand Dhurjon.

The businessman, widely regarded as the presumptive Leader of the Opposition, made a high-profile entrance in his luxury Lamborghini—the same vehicle at the centre of an alleged tax evasion case currently before the courts.

Mohamed leads the political party We Invest in Nationhood (WIN), which secured sixteen seats in the National Assembly following the September 1 General and Regional Elections.
