President Irfaan Ali on Wednesday announced that the government will cover the cost for up to eight subjects at the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) for students both in the public and private sectors.
The Head of State made the announcement as he addressed a public meeting at the West Demerara Secondary School.
“These are the policies that we are embracing. This is the future that we are creating. We don’t need an event to invest in the people and their future. We are not a seasonal presence in your lives. Think about it and be fair”, Ali told the gathering which included students.
According to the President, his government can be relied on to represent the interests of citizens.
