Georgetown, Guyana — Pegasus Suites, the newer tower of the Pegasus Hotel Guyana complex, has officially become part of the Hyatt family of hotels, rebranding as the Atlantic Suites Hotel under a Hyatt Affiliated designation effective Thursday, August 6, 2026.

The announcement was made via a Facebook post from Pegasus Hotel Guyana, which described the milestone as “a new chapter” for the property and said the affiliation brings “globally recognized hospitality and exceptional experiences” to the country.

The 80-suite property, located within the Pegasus Corporate Centre, will initially operate as an independently marketed hotel under the Hyatt Affiliated banner. According to the announcement, it is expected to transition further into Hyatt’s lifestyle brand, Hyatt Regency, and join the World of Hyatt loyalty program in 2028, once an adjacent 170-room tower is completed and opens.

Pegasus Hotel CEO Robert Badal

Pegasus Hotel CEO Robert Badal framed the move as a significant step for the property and for the wider Guyanese hospitality sector, saying: “We are excited at this transition to the Hyatt family and the opportunity it presents in serving the Business and Leisure travelers with trusted hospitality of the highest level.”

The property joins Hyatt’s global portfolio of more than 1,300 hotels and resorts. Rooms can now be booked directly through Hyatt’s website under the Atlantic Suites Hotel listing.

The rebrand follows a broader expansion at the Pegasus complex, which added its Suites & Corporate Centre tower in 2022 — a project hotel officials at the time called one of the largest single private investments in Guyana’s history.
