Transparency Institute Guyana Inc is among the latest organisations to come out calling for justice for eleven-year-old Adriana Younge who died at the Double Day Hotel, in Tuschen, East Bank Essequibo.

In a press statement, TIGI called on the Irfaan Ali led government to officially request singularly or collectively assistance of the governments of the United States of America, the United Kingdom and Canada to thoroughly professionally investigate the circumstances related to the death of Adriana with a view to determining her disappearance from the poolside at the hotel whilst alive and the reappearance of her dead body in the swimming pool many hours later.

The anti-corruption watchdog group said it was equally concerned about the action and inaction, sins of commission and omission of the Police Force whose members are sworn to serve and protect the citizens of the country particularly the most vulnerable, the country’s children.

The request for international assistance, if satisfied, will provide a sense of closure to the people of Guyana, several of whom are deeply concerned and disturbed over the manner of the death of Adriana.
