Owners of businesses specializing in software development which includes designing and development of digital e-commerce platforms have an opportunity to benefit from grand funding through the Caribbean Development Bank’s recently launched Caribbean Stock Photography- Digital Business Solutions Grant Call.

The CDB in a press statement on the launching of the new initiative said the grant is aimed at centralizing Caribbean visual resources, enhancing commercial viability, improving multimedia, archiving, and boosting the overall competitiveness of the region’s visual arts and audio-visual subsectors.

Further, the bank said the initiative is intended to be a launchpad for attracting future investments and sustained operations.

Head of the CDB’s Private Sector Division, Lisa Harding said the regional financial institution is looking for bold and innovative proposals that leverage technology to enhance access, efficiency, and sustainability in the Caribbean Stock photography and by extension the creative sector. Ms. Harding added that by proposing financial and technical support, we are empowering visionaries to create solutions that not only showcase the region’s diversity and talent but also contribute to its economic growth.

The grant is open to citizens of CDB’s borrowing member countries ages 18 and older, who operate a formally registered business, and have at least five years’ experience in software development, including the design and development of digital e-commerce platforms.

Applications close on May 30th at 11:59pm and submission can be made via the bank’s online portal at www.caribank.org/ciif. Additionally, a webinar has been arranged on Friday, May 16th for persons who may need additional information.
