Chairman of the People’s National Congress Reform, Sherwayne Holder has resigned from the party.
Holder in an email addressed to Party Leader Aubrey Norton said he was resigning with immediate effect.
Holder who was re-elected to the post as chairman of the party in 2024, thanked Norton, the Central Executive Committee and membership of the party for the confidence it reposed in him over the years, adding that he wished Norton and the party well in the efforts to rebuild and revitalize.
Holder’s resignation came a day after fellow PNCR Central Executive Committee Member Mervyn Williams announced his resignation from the party.
Williams’ announcement came following his interview with Terrence Campbell on Facing the Nation, the party’s online program.
The PNCR, led by Aubrey Norton, has been wrestling with internal issues recently.
Norton, who announced that he will not be returning to Parliament, said he will be focused on rebuilding the party, where he remains as leader.
