A policeman caught on camera fighting a civilian has been transferred to another region according to Mark Ramotar, head of the Corporate Communications Unit of the Guyana Police Force.
Ramator in a brief statement in the Joint Services Whatsapp group said the transfer was effective immediately and that the incident is the subject of an investigation by the Office of Profession Responsibility.
The video of the incident surfaced on social media recently showed several police ranks including an officer breaking up the fight.
