In an effort to cash in on the Oil and Gas Sector Traffic, United Airlines has announced that from April 1st next year, 2024 it will fly non-stop to Houston Texas. United says it will be the first airline to offer non-stop service between Houston and Georgetown, Guyana*, with four times weekly service on a Boeing 737-MAX 8 aircraft.

The Guyana Civil Aviation Authority is yet to receive United’s application but Guyanese authorities have been anticipating the airline would operate the Guyana Houston route for some time now. It is likely that much of the Oil Industry travel will use that route since Houston is where many of the Oil companies are located. In addition there will be access to United’s vast international network that will facilitate more options as long as passengers have the relevant documentation to transit the United States.
