The investigations into the killing of twenty-one-year-old Ronaldo Peters is completed and the file is expected to be sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions on Wednesday according to a statement issued by the Corporate Communication Unit (CCU) of the Guyana Police Force.
The investigations were conducted by the Guyana Police Force Office of Professional Responsibility and the Regional Security System (RSS).
Further, the CCU said additional witnesses in the fatal killing of Keon Fogenay were expected questioned on Tuesday and once the file is completed it would be sent to the DPP for advice.
The RSS, the statement said is expected to submit a report containing findings and recommendations.
Peters was shot and killed by a Police Sergeant two weeks ago. He was shot in his abdomen. The incident which was caught on CCTV showed the policeman dragging the young man into a minibus.
Fogenay was shot a day later as Lindeners protested the shooting of Peters.
