Abraham Smith has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of One Communications, according to a statement from the telecommunication company.

Smith, the company said brings more than twenty years of senior leadership experience across the Caribbean and Latin America, including recent CEO-level stewardship in one of the region’s largest markets.

Chairman of One Communications Brad Martin said, “as Guyana continues one of the most dynamic periods of growth in its history, the role of reliable, future-ready connectivity has never been more critical. Abraham is a seasoned leader who understands the national responsibility that comes with telecommunications leadership.”

The telecommunication company said as CEO Smith will oversee One’s residential services and its business arm, Brava. His mandate includes enhancing customer experience, strengthening network resilience, and expanding enterprise partnerships.
