Two persons are in police custody following the discovery of a quantity of marijuana at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport on Wednesday.
The drugs according to the Customs Anti-Narcotics Unit were found during the search of a barrel shipped from the United States of America. The operation which led to the discovery was conducted jointly by CANU and the Guyana Revenue Authority.

Those taken into custody are Machaia Andrews of Non Pariel, East Coast Demerara and Lemme Campbell of Enterprise also on the East Coast of Demerara. The seized drugs carried a weight of 3.311 pounds.
